On the Other Side: Concert for Piano and Silences investigates the moment of passage from the state of imprisonment to the state of freedom. How and in which way we pass the border between imprisonment and freedom? Is this border clear? How far is it from us? The moment marks the experience of passing from one condition to another through music.

The artists have been accompanied in this journey by the figure of Kaspar Hauser, whose decentralised and blurry ‘Me’ repeats after Rimbaud: ‘I am somebody else.’ This is a journey in which we try to reinterpret and witness a new reality, in a constant flux, giving us new lenses to perceive our world and at the same time questioning it from a different perspective, the one of ‘the Other’.
On the Other Side: Concert for Piano and Silences is the next step of a research process initiated by Jubilo Foundation in 2018. The first step of the work was presented on 9 December 2018 at the Grotowski Institute. The piece is planned to have its premiere in 2020.
