TRIPTYCH MISERART – SPACE OF CULTURE IN THE LABYRINTH OF EXCLUSION

THE OPENING OF MISERART SPACE, 15th October 2014, 5pm
ul. Cybulskiego 35a, Wrocław

The MiserArt project aimed to adapt and open a new space for artistic activity in the Wrocław’s region of Nadodrze at Cybulskiego 35a. The space was prepared for opening thanks to the common work of homeless people as well as pupils and students of Lower Silesia academies.

Within the time frame of the project the actors of Fundacja Jubilo led theatre workshops at the Grotowski Institute with three workshop groups: homeless men residing in the Szczodre Shelter, women in difficult life conditions and students of Wrocław’s universities.

The workshops were a fulfilment of Jubilo’s continuous mission of creating space for dialogue and mutual understanding, building a platform for meeting and exchanging experiences through the theatrical language of music and dance, open to all of Wroclaw’s communities. In the frame of the workshops the artists and the participants prepared “Theatre Fluttering – Freedom. Strength. Love”, which was presented to an audience on the opening day of 15th October.

Organised in cooperation with: Marszałek Województwa Dolnośląskiego, Instytut im. Jerzego Grotowskiego, Parlament Młodzieży Wrocławia, Fundacja Homo Sacer, Towarzystwo Pomocy im. Św. Brata Alberta Koło Wrocławskie.
