“On the Other Side/Passage ” is another step in Jubilo Foundation’s long-running research on the themes of freedom and seclusion. This time Jubilo has opened the possibility of working with a group of young performers, facilitating a research-based process that will allow the group to directly relate to the work they have been developing for years as part of “Unlocking “.

The title should not be interpreted as a definition. Instead, one should see it as a question, a suggestion of direction, a living dynamic of change; both in the outside world and inside of ourselves. How do we witness change? Do we confront it actively, or do we just passively accept its consequences?

With this work demonstration the artists want to ignite a small change of perspective in their ongoing attempt to experience a real meeting between the other and themselves. How can we interpret, from our perspective, the condition of seclusion? Where is the boundary separating it from the rest of the world? A potential meeting place? How can we cross it? What does it mean to meet someone else?
