workshops with the themes: Action, Relation, Voice, Community. You can find the application form at the link below: http://bit.ly/2PQflH7. Enrollment for the entire cycle and the first module – Action will last until April 9.
In the first workshop of the programme, the main focus will be on physical actions and the score of the actor; on where to start approaching them and how to develop them in relation to external impulses (e.g. music, partner).
From elements connected to group dynamics and ensemble work we will shift the focus to individual tasks, improvisation and explorative elements that will allow participants to unlock their personal physical expression as well as question a priori perceptions/interpretations of proposed working materials (e.g. text).
The main aim of this workshop is to challenge participants to step out of their comfort zones in order to access a freer creative space and to support them with tools that can strengthen their individual practices and independence as performers.
The following technical elements will be developed in the workshop:
- physical and spatial awareness
- protagonist/chorus relation
- physical and text-related research
- composition of the physical score
- dynamic and dramaturgy of the physical action
- relation between physical score and text
The workshop is addressed to actors, singers, other performers, students and all those interested in Jubilo’s theatre work. Each participant will be asked to prepare a chosen text (self-authored, theatrical, taken from literature or other sources) and to bring an illustration (drawing, photograph, etc.) connected to the topic of The Other.
